Odara Productions

About

Odara Productions is a Brazilian event organiser and cultural collective in Sydney NSW.

Odara Productions is a Brazilian-Australian production company creating cultural events and creative projects that bring Brazilian stories, music and traditions to audiences across Australia.

Founded by event producer Ariana Guerra, who has more than ten years of experience working across Australia and Brazil, Odara combines cultural storytelling with event production to create experiences that connect Brazilian communities while introducing the richness and diversity of Brazilian culture to wider Australian audiences.

The name Odara, a Yoruba word widely used in Bahia, evokes joy, harmony and positive energy.

Its growing portfolio spans cinema, live music, touring artists and community celebrations. Odara produced Aquele Abraço, a family-friendly festival inspired by Gilberto Gil’s iconic song that brought Brazilian music, food and community spirit to Sydney, featuring artists including Samba de Moça, Beliza, Sergio Akueran and Cria do Samba.

The company is also part of the team behind the Brazilian Film Festival Australia and has produced DJ Nyack’s multi-city Djavaneio tour, Brazilian World Cup celebrations and official concert after-parties.

In partnership with the Brazilian Cultural Centre, Odara presented Toca Luiz: Nosso São João, Australia’s first street Festa Junina, celebrating the culture of Brazil’s Northeast through forró, food, dance and activities for the whole community.
